I get asked about this stuff ALL the time so here goes .... as you can probably see I am declaring myself as Fortysomething. A friend of mine once told me that when you reach 40, something happens on the inside, you will want to stage an event of some kind, she ran a marathon, some people choose to have a baby, start over again, learn a new language, emigrate! The list is endless and of course personal to each one of us.
So, here I am fortysomething and still wanting to be fabulous darling!
I grew up with Charlies Angels ( Farrah was my favourite ), Dallas
& Dynasty. This later progressed to Saturday Night Fever, Disco and
then came the incredible tousled blonde hair framing the perfect face
of Debbie Harry of Blondie. The power of the Denis Denis video?
Awesome!
I have been hooked on glamour since I was around 14 years of age, I
had issues to deal with ( ginger hair ( my Mum insisted on calling it
strawberry blonde ), freckles and white skin that never tanned. )fo
r everyone who has come to terms with those elements and is happy as
they are, well done, I never quite understood why I couldn't have a tan
like Farrah Fawcett Majors and blonde
hair like Debbie Harry.
The day I discovered foundation that covered all my freckles, ( yes I know natural is best - but I didn't appreciate that advice ) was the day I started to gain confidence in myself. I continually disobeyed the school rules on wearing make up and have been fascinated by it ever since.
I would just like to state right now that my R.E. teacher ( Mrs Williamson ) was WRONG when she said wearing that much make up all the time is bad for your skin, well guess what --- my skin still looks great thanks very much.
So this bit is all about my girlie side, I'm happy to pass on anything I know that keeps you Fit, 40 something and absolutely fabulous of course. Enjoy!
